Orange Wedge Jello Shots

Everyone loves jello shots. Next time you are having friends over, try something a little different. Instead of serving up the jello shots in little shot glasses, try serving them as orange wedges.

Things you'll need:
Flavored jello/jelly packets
Oranges
Vodka
Boiling water
Utensils

Okay, first you need to cut the oranges in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, leaving only the peel behind.

Now you need to make your jello shot mixture. People have different methods for this and if you have your own method that works well, then I guess you can make up the mixture how you usually do and just skip this part.

Add the jello crystals to a large bowl. Add 1/2 a cup of boiling water. Stir the mix and dissolve the crystals. Now add 1/2 a cup of vodka and mix.

Carefully pour the the mixture into the orange peel halves, put them into the refrigerator and leave them for about 4 hours, or until set.

Once they are set, carefully slice the orange halves into wedges.

Arrange them on a plate and serve them to your guests!

There are different variations of this recipe, some people use orange flavored jello and mandarin flavored vodka. Some people prefer to mix in cool water as well as boiling hot water and vodka to allow the jello to set quicker, I think that this weakens the jello shot but you can do it if you want.

Take a look at this one. Watermelon jello in lime peel.

Whatever you decide to do, this is a very cool recipe!
